DeLinda McDaniels is the oldest of seven children raised by a Catholic mother and an atheist father, in a family of abuse. At the age of 17 she was homeless and at the age of 18 she graduated from high school but was unable to read well enough to fill out a job application. At age 23 her first child was born and at age 25, in order to learn to parent and stop herself from abusing her child, she taught herself to read. Her three children could all read before attending school. She was the parent other parents called for advice. DeLinda has written a book and a work book on parenting called 52 Weeks of Parenting for a Lifetime of Success. If you ask her about her success in parenting she'll tell you that "Any idiot can raise brilliant children and that she can prove it because, she's the idiot." She goes on to say that with a little luck and a lot of help from God, her children have proven her right.
DeLinda's oldest daughter is a doctor currently studying oncology. One of her sons owns Highline Autos Magazine and the other owns ShortSign.com.
